Large T to Fitted T

I had a blue t-shirt that was kind of big on me - big enough that it stretched well and I wore it while 9 months pregnant with my second son. I decided I needed to try and fit it to me so I went after it with some scissors, pinned it and sewed it up. I think it turned out great. Tutorial here from This Mama Makes Stuff.

Boy's tie

D needs a bit of excitement added to his church wardrobe so I thought ties would do the trick. However, after looking around, I am not interested in paying $12 for a tie or about the same for a tie and a new shirt. We have enough shirts. Enter the iCandy faux tie tutorial. I made D a tie and it's not my favorite, but it was simple to make and it looks okay with the shirt he has on. I may make a velcro tie next.
