"Flirty Apron"

Christmas gifts! I gave my mom this apron for Christmas and she loved it. It just might be my favorite. When I saw the tutorial for this "flirty apron" I knew I had to make one for me. Once it was made, I knew I had to give these aprons as Christmas gifts. I got the tutorial here. I hope you try to make one too. It really is simple and fun to make as well!

Lovey Blanket

I made a lovey blanket for someone special. The idea behind lovey blankets is that Mom sleeps with the blanket for a few nights and then puts it in the crib/bassinet with Baby so that he or she feels that Mom is close. Not to mention that the blanket is very soft and cuddly. I found the tutorial here.

Brimmed Beanie

I made this for my little guy, but it ended up being way too big and it fit me instead. It's a very easy project and can be made in less than an hour. Tutorial found here.

Another receiving blanket

I love these and they are so easy. Here is another blanket I made in preparation for my little guy to come.

Baseball T-shirt refashion

R didn't want to get rid of his favorite shirt so I told him I'd make it into a smaller one for D. And without a pattern I did just that! I'm pretty proud of it too. This is the first shirt I have EVER sewn. I made my own pattern from one of D's shirts and followed shapes from the big t-shirt and adjusted them to a 4T/5T size. The only tutorial I used was the one found here for the neckline. This took me forever to think through, but I enjoyed it! I don't have a before/after pic, but here is the final result (the original t-shirt was XXL):

Please disregard the chocolate face... :)

Pee Pee Teepees

Sorry the picture is blurry. I whipped up some pee pee teepees for my sister to use for her baby. Super easy. Super useful. I found the tutorial here at Make it and Love it.

Modge Podge Frame

I used the matte modge podge (should have bought shiny). I was going to lacquer it before I put the flowers on, but then decided against it. I learned how to do fabric flowers here and yo-yo's here.

Pillowcase Dress

I made this pillowcase dress using this tutorial at Naptime Crafts. I thought it was very easy and straightforward. I made it without measuring its intended recipient. I think it would have been easier if I could have - it may look like a tent on her. :)

Appliqued onesies

Basic appliqued onesies. I used the link for the Superman applique to remind myself how to applique (I could have just read the wonder under instructions). ;)
